Frequently Asked Questions
We ask all participating hotels to professionally clean linens before pickup using industrial-grade detergents and laundering processes. While we can’t directly verify or control every partner’s internal practices, we work with reputable hotels have not experienced sanitation issues to date.
No — these are gently used, high-quality linens. We ask hotels to prepare for us linens that are fit for human dignity. Hotels typically replace them due to small stains, minor sizing inconsistencies, or undergoing a renovation and the parent brand requiring them to replace all bedding.
To keep logistics simple and costs low, we don’t offer custom selection and sorting. When a batch is available, you’ll get a summary based on what the hotel has shared with us (e.g. number of boxes/bags and general contents like towels, sheets, or pillowcases). You choose whether to claim that batch.
Currently, organizations pick up directly from hotels. We coordinate timing so pickups are efficient and smooth. We don’t offer delivery at this time, though this may change in the future if sustainable.
You’ll start receiving alerts by email when linens are available nearby. Claims are first come, first serve. Once claimed, you choose a pickup window, and we send confirmation details. Linens are pre-bagged or boxed — just load and go.
To remain accessible and equitable, we do not charge any upfront cost as we understand that large and small organizations have varying budgets but still a tremendous amount of need for blankets and towels. After pickup, your organization contributes what this service was worth to them. On average, it costs us $33.50 to coordinate a pickup (calls, outreach, matching, confirmations) and provide you with hundreds — or thousands — of dollars worth of blankets and towels.
We front these costs first, in good faith as a fellow nonprofit organization. If you’re satisfied, please contribute a fair service fee to help keep the service sustainable. There’s zero risk — you decide after you receive your linens.
If we find any abuse of the system, including resale of linens, we reserve the right to pause access so we can prioritize limited supplies fairly.
Any community-serving organization focused on care, dignity, and sustainability is welcome — including shelters, housing centers, ministries, street outreach programs, food giveaway groups, animal rescues, sober living programs, and grassroots efforts.
Alerts depend on hotel availability and your location. It could be as often as weekly or every few weeks. The more active your region’s hotels, the more frequent the opportunities.
Bring a vehicle large enough for the batch you claimed. We ask our hotel partners to have linens pre-packed in boxes or bags, ready for easy loading. You’ll receive exact pickup details in your confirmation email.

We do not guarantee any minimum quantity of linens, frequency of availability, or specific types of items offered. While we ask hotel partners to provide professionally cleaned linens, Linens N Love does not verify or control sanitation, packaging, or quality and accepts no liability for such. Communication of available linens, timing of alerts, and pickup coordination are offered as a courtesy and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for missed pickups, transportation, delays, or other logistical issues. Participation is at your organization’s sole risk and discretion. Linens N Love does not issue tax donation receipts, as participation is structured as a fee-for-service program, not a charitable donation. Participation does not create any partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship with Linens N Love. By registering or participating, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Linens N Love and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your participation or use of provided linens. Linens N Love is not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses arising from participation or use of linens. Linens N Love is not responsible for failure or delay due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, labor strikes, equipment failure, or government restrictions. We reserve the right to modify, pause, or discontinue this program or participant eligibility at any time, without notice, due to operational needs, availability, or external circumstances. We also reserve the right to amend these terms at any time, and continued participation constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
